SWEET SUMMER

I cannot begin to express how happy I am that it is summer!  It is such an incredible feeling! All of my stress is gone!  I had no idea how much stress I was carrying until it was lifted!  I am really enjoying puttering around the house, putting my house back in order after the craziness of the school year.  I've been organizing, purging, and cleaning.  I've had a garage sale, had the downstairs carpets cleaned, had dentist appointments, spent time with family, had lunch with friends, read several books, and even took a mini-vacation out of town! There is still plenty more to do around here, but that's for another day!  I still have plenty more time- it's still early in summer!

One of my friends recently visited Mexico and I had asked her to bring back some milk caramel candy.  A few years ago a different friend raved about how awesome the caramel candy from Mexico is because it's made with real milk.  I am not fond of milk.  I do not like to drink milk, never have, never will.  But the candy made with milk was great!  I figured my friend would bring back a couple of pieces, so I was totally surprised by how much she came back with!
Lots of yummy treats!

This one was really good!  Sugar crystals on the outside of the shell, creamy caramel center!

This one has an interesting story!  At first I saw these and thought they would be caramel suckers similar to what I had tasted in the past.  I started to suck on one and immediately thought something was up.  It didn't taste like I had expected, it was a little "off" but I couldn't figure out why.  I saw "leche" in the ingredients list, which I know is milk, but I didn't know the word after it, until I looked back at the animal picture on the front.  I didn't even have to google the second word, because I realized it was made with goat's milk!  Lol!  Caught me by surprise!

La Esperanza (below) is my favorite of the bunch!  This is such a unique candy!  You must scoop it out with a spoon or your finger. (I used a spoon, of course!)  It was really good! (and it was made with cow's milk... leche de vaca, that one I knew!)

My summer is off to a sweet start!  I am so glad there is still plenty of time left!

FREE POST-ITS

I love free stuff!  I love Post-Its!  So I really love FREE Post-its!  A teacher friend of mine recently told me about NAEIR. "NAEIR’s Teacher’s Program is a great way to help teachers stretch out-of-pocket expenses on classroom supplies by providing FREE materials such as arts and crafts items, pens and pencils, highlighters, scissors, incentive items like stickers, and so much more."  There is a free membership program for teachers, and the items must be used for school use only.  You only pay handling fees, with a minimum of $25.  Each of these items below had a handling fee of $1 to $5.  There is no cost for the item itself and the shipping is free.

$29 handling fee for everything pictured, total value was $342!

This bag of Command Hooks had a handling fee of $2.  That's it!  Just $2!

Post It Dry Erase Weekly Calendar

This entire box of monster post-its only had a $3 handling fee! What a great deal!
